Raising
Up the Lord's Watch The Lord's Watch
was a twenty-four hour around-the-clock prayer vigil,
establish by the Moravians in the early 18th century, which lasted one hundred years. The fervent prayers of these believers resulted in the sending out of missionaries to many lands--the first Protestant missions outside Europe and North America. Moravians influenced John and Charles Wesley. Moravian missionary zeal prompted William Carey's efforts to reach India for Christ.
In the spirit of the Moravian brethren, we wish to establish the Lord's Watch in King County. If only 31 congregations took one day to devote to 24 hours of prayer, King County would be covered in prayer day and night. The resources and links below will help your congregation to become part of the Lord's Watch.
The
Lord's Watch Calendar:
This Google
calendar shows the days which have already been committed to
prayer by congregations in King County. Some have taken a
full 24 hours, others only 12. We will be launching the
Lord's Watch as part of Operation
Rolling Thunder on National
Day Prayer, Thursday May 6, 2010.
Advance
to the May calendar to see what days are open. If you
would like to be added to this calendar contact Jenny
